Math Unscripted unpacks the curriculum and intentionally brings together connected outcomes—or parts of outcomes—into coherent phases of learning. Each phase is carefully sequenced so ideas build on one another, helping students develop meaningful connections rather than experience mathematics as a series of disconnected topics.
Begin the year with the complete Grade 7 Phase 1 and Phase 2 resources.
I am working to complete all phases of Grade 7 Math Unscripted during the 2026–27 school year. Rather than waiting until the full program is complete, I am releasing each phase as it is finished so teachers can begin using the materials right away.
Grade 7: Phase 3 will be my next project after Hybrid Grade 8: Phase 3 is complete.
Each phase may be purchased individually as it is released. You may also purchase the Grade 7 Growing Bundle to receive a small overall savings. The bundle will be updated automatically whenever a new Grade 7 phase is released, and previous bundle purchasers will receive the new phase at no additional cost.
Phase 2: Volume and Changing Relationships
Entire Phase 1 documents, including teacher guide, student workbook and BLMs.
Phase 1: Perfect Squares, Square Roots, Fractions & Decimals
Entire Phase 1 documents, including teacher guide, student workbook and BLMs.
How has AI been used in my work?
Here are the situations where I have used AI to help offload some of the editing work...
I use a program called Overleaf (not an AI tool) to format and produce my student workbooks, teacher guides, and black line masters. Because Overleaf uses LaTeX code, I use AI to help me with the code for creating the layout, diagrams, and other design elements.
Once I am done writing the content for a lesson, I also use AI as an additional reviewer to help identify possible typos, spelling and grammar issues, inconsistencies in wording or question structure, and potential errors in answer keys. It brings possible issues to my attention so that I can review them and make any necessary corrections.
The mathematical content, lesson design, instructional decisions, and final revisions remain my own.
